The call to political or celebrity authority must be strong. The urge to willingly expose yourself as either a shill for fame or obviously moronic afflicts those on our screens on a near daily basis.
No matter how popular the personality, or toiling in the middle-management of public renown, no one is immune.
They’ll say things they couldn’t possibly believe. They’re so outside the norm of objective thought or obvious consensus, there would only be two reasons to say what they’re saying: they’re either stupid, or a liar.

Good on you, Mr. Rank. Way to really hammer home your opinion by defending it with a 2002 professional wrestling analogy. Really let the people know you’re a serious thinker.
