The Royals offense continues to inch closer to top-20 in baseball after an insertion of young talent into the lineup on a more consistent basis.
In two weeks the offense has jumped two spots in both walks and home runs, and three spots in total runs scored, thanks to the production of Bobby Witt Jr., MJ Melendez, and Emmanuel Rivera.
Those three accounted for 4 of the 6 team home runs, 11 of the 27 runs scored, and 3 of the 18 total walks for the week.
All-in over the past two weeks the three young Royals bats have accounted for 7 of the last 14 team home runs, 11 of the teams 42 walks, and 23 of the teams 67 total runs scored.
The record is now 14-26, good for last in the AL Central.
